Silver Strike Concrete: Concrete Manufacturer for the Mathewson Gateway Project in Reno, NV
Silver Stike is partnered with McClone Construction to supply concrete on the Mathewson Gateway Project. We recently poured high-performance concrete with an impressive design strength of 8,000 psi. Notably, this concrete achieved early strength, enabling the contractors to expedite their construction progress, making it possible to advance to the next floor within just seven days. The concrete Silver Strike Concrete is manufacturing for this project will fortify a five-story, 128,000 square-foot building, soon to be the University of Nevada Reno College of Business’s new home.
Webb Business Park in Reno, NV
We recently completed the Webb Business Park project in Reno, NV with NV Concrete & Construction and general contractor Diamond G Construction Inc. For this project, we completed all the slabs and footings for the buildings as well any sitework including sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and more. We are proud to partner with local construction companies and contractors as the Reno area quickly grows.
Echo Water Treatment Facility
This project is touted to be the biggest public works project in Sacramento’s history. It involves the upgrade of the existing Sacramento Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant. For this project we incorporated an on-site portable batch plant, water containment structures utilizing waterproofing admixtures, CLSC backfill, underground pipe encasement, and jointed-plain concrete paving.

Do you service residential jobs or commercial jobs?
Silver Strike Concrete prides itself on its ability to service both residential and commercial jobs. Our dedicated concrete laboratory can handle the most complex concrete applications. In addition, we pride ourselves on our service and quality that we deliver to the residential contractor. These smaller contractors are the backbone that helped us build our business from the ground up.
What is your ready mix concrete delivery area?
We service the greater Reno / Sparks metropolitan area typically 45 minutes in any direction. We will also deliver outside of our normal service radius with enough notice. Please note that additional out of area fees and concrete additives may apply when traveling longer distances outside of our normal service area.
What are the current ready mix concrete prices?
Prices vary. The main driver in the pricing of concrete is the materials that are contained in the mix such as the cement content (measured in sacks), the type of rock, etc. Other factors that affect price include admixtures, color, regulatory fees, on-site personnel and equipment charges. The last factor in the price of concrete is the volume needed as well as the delivery location. Contact our Sales and Scheduling Department to get a quote for your project’s needs.
What concrete mix should I use?
The type of concrete mix to use is influenced by multiple factors such as the type of application, the required strength, etc. We have a list of prescribed mixes in our DIY section for different applications, but as always, you can contact our Sales and Scheduling Department and they will help you out with your project.
What color options are there for concrete?
Please visit our colored concrete page for samples of our different concrete color options through our supplier. Note that Silver Strike Concrete can also color match other color manufacturers with proper advanced notice.
What should I do if I have any issues with my concrete?
Silver Strike prides itself on its service offering on the day of your pour AND to help you through any issues that may occur after the fact. If you experience any issues, whatsoever, our sales and quality personnel are there to assist you.
